The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) spouse forum today launched hamper distribution at Thaba Tshwane, Pretoria. Members to witness how parcel hampers are packaged for families of deployed soldiers which are donated by spouses forum and other donors.
An official said during his address “out of struggle last year the Goodwill parcel project could not provide parcels. From this year onwards, the project will continue to give gifts parcels to families of deployed soldiers. It has been said the project goes a long way,it’s a project that goes through a timeline and from now on contracts with sponsors have been signed reassuring that indeed deployed soldiers’s families will receive hampers.
Great thanks and appreciation was given by the chairperson of SANDF Mrs Shoke Spouses forum and she encourages the public to support the Goodwill parcel project in honoring of those who left their families to protect the country,to give their families sense of cheerfulness and love.
General Mavhungu said “parcels brings comfort to the families of deployed soldiers more especially during festive session while their loved ones are on duty, soldiers are not only there to create a better place but ensure the safety of the nation”
As a team, a production project took place where they got to package parcels with pride and joy.
